V Awards

OK if you're not volunteering at Journey Church you are missing out!! Last Thursday was a BLAST as we honored and celebrated all that YOU do to make Journey successful in pursuing the Vision God has given us - Seeing our City Transformed One Life at a Time.

What a great showing of the East Campus at the V Awards!! I hope you had a fun night!! Laughing at all of us and yours truly - having fun ourselves, as we honored you!!!

Everything that WE do at Journey does not happen without all of YOU who volunteer. And it's because of your hearts that lives are changed! Thank YOU.....Thank YOU...Thank YOU!!!!

So remember if you are not volunteering at Journey we have a place for you! Let us know what you are interested in and we would love to get you plugged in. We have countless places that we can utilize the special skills God has given YOU! So if you are ready to volunteer, let us know! We need YOU!!!!!

Baptism Bash

Wow! What a GREAT Sunday! Our very first Baptism Bash! It is soooo exciting to celebrate life change and the act of baptism. An outward expression and act of an inward change in our heart that Christ has done as we give our lives to Him. It's exciting to follow the example of Christ being baptized, doing it because Christ commands it and giving God glory by our actions of obedience. What an honor to baptize our first three people at the East Campus.

Doesn't the new canopy look great!! That community space outside is taking shape. We hope to get the side wing canopies on this week. This will allow us to use that patio space for our Hospitality!!

Thanks to all of you that helped out this week at our volunteer work night on Wednesday. We got a lot of loose ends and painting done. It is such an honor to partner with all of you serving God and pursuing our vision of seeing our City Transformed!! You all are the best.

Spring has Sprung!

I love spring!!! The rebirth of life, birds singing, warmth and Oklahoma weather!! It is fun to get outside, enjoy a stroll and interact with the neighbors!!! It's a refreshing and renewing time of year! Reminding us of how God refreshes and renews us. I am thankful for His forgiveness and grace. It's amazing how much He loves us.

What is your favorite thing about Spring? Do you feel energized when Spring arrives?

A couple of reminders......

1) Don't forget about our work night on Wednesday night from 6:30 - 9:00 PM. Come out and join the fun as we work on a few items that need fixing and painting. It's a great time to meet people and have a BLAST!

2) Are you a Volunteer at Journey? Have you helped out volunteering at any of our events? Then I know you will be at the North Campus on Thursday night at 6:30 PM. It's our annual "V" Awards! It's a night of fun and honor for you! We hope and want to see you there. If you have not RSVP'ed please call the church office at 217-8700 so we can plan on seeing you there. We have childcare available when you RSVP. Come join the FUN!

Fish Sticks

Well another great week at the East Campus! Thanks to such a fantastic group of people. You are a BLAST to serve with!

Fish sticks what a great visual this week as we continue to talk about what God has blessed us with and how to be good stewards of that. Being faithful with the gifts, talents and blessings that God has given each of us. Clark challenged us in this area and encouraged us to seek God's design and plan for this area of our lives. Trusting God to bless what He wants us to do! Sounds kinda simple, But challenging to do! And when we do look what God does! He feeds 15,000 + on 2 fish sticks and 5 loaves of bread!

The video was another great example of followers of Christ being faithful and obedient. Thank You Journey Church for your obedience and trusting Him. It is so much fun to be a part of blessing others!!!

I do have a question for Clark...... Were the fish sticks gross and mushy like they looked on video? The great thing about video is that at least we didn't smell the fish sticks! Now I'm hungry! Anybody having a fish fry?

Week 2 - SOLID!!!!

Happy Monday to All!!!

What a great weekend!!! Our worship experiences were rock solid!! Thanks to everyone for all you did and do! All the volunteer teams were on top of their game!! Flexibility was the word of the day as we adjusted for some of the unfinished construction items. Our teams went with the flow and adjusted on the fly to make things happen!!! It is such an honor to serve with people like you!!!! Guests felt welcomed! Hospitality was awesome!! The band and worship connected us with the Father and Clark's talk hit the mark!! Life change happened!!!

The new entry doors this week looked fantastic!! It really is helping shape things!!! This week we plan on getting the concrete cut and re-poured and the new awning up for our patio area.

As we move forward into Spring, I want to remind all of us to invest and invite!!! Remember those 387 names? Well let's invest in those relationships, invite them to Journey and let God transform their lives!! It is soooo exciting to partner and serve with all of you! Remember this week....To Honor God.... Build Healthy Relationships and Have a BLAST!!!!

What a Day!!

Sunday was incredible! Props to God, our volunteers and our staff!!! Everything went well we had a great crowd! All of our Teams (Hospitality, Greeters, Ushers, Tech, Band, etc) were on their game! Journey Kids was a ton of fun!!! Worship was awesome. Clark's talk was amazing! Wasn't the video unbelievable? And it all culminated in life change. We had 15 people give their hearts to Christ at our Grand opening weekend! That is what it's all about!!!

So the big question is...... What are you doing with the Blessed Life challenge? The money you received on Sunday, how are you using it to bless others? How are multiplying that gift to bless others? Are you partnering with others to make your gift bigger? Is your small group doing something together? Have you registered at www.blessedlifeproject.tv yet? Don't forget to do that. We want to hear what you are doing and the lives that it impacts.

You are an amazing group of people that I am honored to partner and serve with!! Seeing our city Transformed One Life at a Time!!! Remember this week in everything you do to.....Honor God....Build Heathly Relationships and Have a BLAST!!!!

Grand Opening!!!

Today is the Big Day!!! Our Grand Opening! A day we have been praying for and preparing for!! The last few weeks have been fast and furious. Yesterday we had a fantastic Open House!! Thanks to ALL of you for your hard work and smiling faces!! Hospitality was tremendous (Thanks Sandra and Jackie!!) Greeting was incredible (Thanks Aileen and Marita!!)

All of you welcoming our community and answering questions, giving tours - what a great way to reflect the love of Christ!! Thank You!!

Today we continue to show the love of Christ and pray for transformed lives!!! That is what all of our efforts are for! Continue to pray for your names on the wall and invest and invite!! I appreciate all of you!

First Wednesday

Good Morning! I wake up this AM refreshed and recharged after a great night of worship, fellowship, snacks and fun!!! Last night was a great example of what we are all about....Honoring God, Building Healthy Relationships and having a BLAST!! Thanks for coming out and being a part! Kyle and the Band were great leading us into the presence of God, Clark's talk about the name of God and a time for prayer at the end made for a evening that allowed us to focus on Him! As we continue thru this week I want to challenge you with the following.......

* Don't forget to cover things in prayer - this weekend, Open House, Grand Opening and those you are inviting!
* Your individual prayer time this week - Remember to use your Prayer Guide.
* Clark and Ben as they lead us this weekend.
* Work night tonight 6:30 - 9:00 and Saturday AM 9:00 - Noon.
* Are you helping with Open House? If not we need you! Email me and we will get you plugged in. We are welcoming our community in this weekend and we need your help to make it successful.
* Speaking of helping out....We need you on Sunday too!! We have many volunteer opportunities to get plugged in to serve. Email me and we will hook you up!!

Big Week!!!

What a week thisl is shaping up to be! And last weekend was a GREAT kick-off to what God has in store!! We had an incredible preview worship experience on Sunday! Everything looked sharp and all of you were on your game!!! The place was a buzz with the presence of God, energy from all of you and a facility that looked fantastic!! We had a fabulous group of volunteers to serve and welcome all who came - from Hospitality, to Greeters, to Ushers and all the support Teams!! Things kicked off with worship - WOW!!! Ben and the band were rockin'!!! Clark's talk has created a lot of buzz and discussion this week. I can't wait to see what God does this weekend!!! Don't forget about First Wednesday tonight! We are hosting it at the East Campus at 7:00 PM. Come help serve and be a part of a great night of worship as we dedicate our location in prayer. Thursday we have a work night scheduled from 6:30 - 9:00 PM. We need to spruce things up and finish some things for our Grand Opening weekend this weekend! Come be a part of the fun and work on Thursday. I am thankful for all of you and honored to serve with you as God continues to transform our city one life at a time! Have a great week in Him
